This weekend, we went up north to our cabin. It was relaxing, fun and so necessary. Lately, life has been a bunch of hustle and bustle, and it was nice to get away.
It takes us a few hours to get to the cabin, and I am lucky that I get to ride in the passenger seat, as Seth drives. A lot of times, when we drive up north, I have my nose in my phone. This weekend, as we embarked on a new year and a new beginning, I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful scenery we saw. Pine trees layered with snow. Sun sparkling off of the bright white ground. It was breathtaking and I put my phone down.
I took time to be outside this weekend. I walked in the woods. I watched the dogs prance around and play in the snow. I took deep breaths and felt the cold winter air. I did my best to appreciate all of the beauty that God gives to us each day.
