Seth and I are really excited to vacation in our bathroom this year. The project took a little over two months and several hundred trips to Home Depot. Although we won't be visiting sandy beaches this spring, I am super happy with the results and looking forward to many hot, relaxing baths.
During the renovation, I learned a few things about us. 1) I am not very patient. 2) My husband is very patient. 3) He is also very handy. 4) He must really love me.
There were times when Seth risked losing his hand (after returning a porcelain-coated steel tub and opening two boxes at the store and still seeing scratches, I insisted to purchase a 300 pound cast iron tub). There were times when Seth risked losing his mind. But he did it! He pulled through and gave me an AMAZING bathroom. I owe him big time!
He still has to replace the door and laundry shoot, but we are basically done. I am looking forward to brushing my teeth upstairs and Seth is looking forward to having his weeknights and evenings free again (until the next project!).
